Automotive shops can be one of the hardest places to keep clean.  When a seamless coating is applied the space becomes significantly easier to maintain. Your standard dawn soap and water will be enough to make the floor look like new again. Whereas on a concrete floor you will never be able to get those oil spills out.  These materials are great against thermal shock and can withstand much more abuse than a tiled floor.  They are also much easier to touch up if any damage occurs.
