Cementitious Leveling
This application is reserved for when your floor is in complete disarray. The purpose of this application is to level the concrete. Typically, this application is needed in warehouses that have taken years of abuse. This process starts off with your standard method of grid and shot blast prep, followed by the application of an epoxy primer with a heavy grade sand broadcast. The purpose of the broadcast is to leave you with a toothy surface so your mortar has lots of surface area to get a bite. The final step is to pump the floor, which depending on the size Applied Surfaces will use an automatic floor leveling pump or on smaller jobs, a HIPPO mixer. Later, on the surface, this can be re prepped in order to apply coatings.
Cleanability
These floors have a similar makeup to a concrete floor. You would clean this the way you would your typical floor. We recommend putting at least a sealer on when finished to make it much easier to keep clean.
Project Applications
A great candidate for a leveled floor are old and tired warehouses that have started to spall (breaking up on the top layer) or are in rough shape. This is also a great product for wavey floors where you will be installing LVP or any other type of laminate/rubber flooring.
